Linux Engineer / Administrator Leading Government client (consulting through FinXL) FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors. FinXL is seeking a Linux Engineer / Administrator to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Government client on a key transformation engagement. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual RHEL servers. Manage the IBM storage client environment on Linux systems. Configure and troubleshoot Spectrum Protect backups or Spectrum Scale file systems. Monitor performance and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues. Manage system patching and security hardening in line with policies. Develop shell scripts and Ansible playbooks to automate routine tasks. Ensure high availability and reliable data management across the Linux fleet. Key Skills & Experience Expert experience engineering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) . Experience working within a large-scale enterprise environment. Strong skills in IBM Spectrum Protect or IBM Spectrum Scale . Proficiency in scripting with Bash or Python. Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet. Knowledge of IBM storage hardware or SAN networking is desirable. Relevant certifications such as RHCE are advantageous.
