Experienced Float Driver

LG Group Civil is seeking an experienced Float Driver to join our dynamic team in Ballarat, Victoria. As a full‑time position, this role is integral to the smooth operation of our road transport logistics business, delivering essential materials across the region. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of heavy equipment and machinery, ensuring our clients' needs are met with the utmost professionalism. What you'll be doing Safely operate heavy‑duty float trucks to transport a variety of equipment and machinery Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure vehicles are roadworthy Adhere to all relevant road safety regulations and company policies Liaise with clients to coordinate delivery schedules and manage any issues that arise Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driving logs, and vehicle maintenance Contribute to the continuous improvement of our transport operations What we're looking for Minimum 12 months experience as a Float Driver in the road transport industry Demonstrated proficiency in operating heavy‑duty float trucks and related equipment Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safe driving practices Working knowledge of relevant road transport regulations and procedures Working knowledge in correct loading procedures and restrainment Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high‑quality service Strong communication and problem‑solving skills Current Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence Commencement January 2026 What we offer Competitive salary and attractive benefits package A collaborative and supportive work environment About us LG Group Civil is an up‑and‑coming civil construction company based in the Ballarat area.
