Process Engineer

Job description CARING SERVICES, PROFESSIONAL ETHICS PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join the team. Role The primary function of a process engineer is to work as part of the auditing team to improve and optimise the audit process and to enhance business processes and systems in order to streamline, measure and improve CESP’s end-to-end order processing activities. Working closely with cross-functional teams across the business, the Process Engineer's role is to drive optimisation at every stage of the auditing processes, enabling better levels of technology integration, measurement and automation. Developing and implementing standardised procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency throughout the auditing process. Responsibilities Process Mapping and Documentation Develop comprehensive flowcharts and detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) for our internal audit methodologies. These documents will become the cornerstone of our training program, ensuring every team member has a clear understanding of each audit stage and its objectives. You’ll collaborate with senior auditors to capture best practices and translate them into actionable procedures that promote consistency and accuracy across all audits. Process Improvement Utilize your engineering expertise and analytical skills to conduct in-depth assessments of our internal audit practices. Employ value stream mapping techniques to identify areas of duplication, inefficiency, and waste within our current workflows. Work closely with the audit team to brainstorm and implement improvement plans, streamlining the entire auditing process. Explore opportunities to leverage technology to enhance efficiency and data collection throughout the audit cycle. Developing, updating, and evaluating position descriptions, organisational charts, and project specifications to define employee roles and responsibilities, identify areas of redundancy, and minimise downtime. Creating, scheduling, allocating resources, tracking progress, and reporting regularly to managers and stakeholders using Project to ensure project success. Performance Optimization Define key performance indicators (KPIs) tailored to each phase of our audit processes. These metrics will provide valuable insights into audit effectiveness, resource allocation, and overall team performance. Collaborate with team leaders to establish work measurement programs that optimise resource utilization and ensure timely completion of all audits. Risk Management and Quality Assurance Play a key role in developing and implementing robust quality management procedures for our audit practices. Identify critical success factors that directly impact the reliability and effectiveness of each audit. Contribute to the creation of improvement plans that mitigate risks and consistently maintain the highest quality standards throughout the auditing process. Work collaboratively to develop and maintain audit checklists and templates that ensure all necessary steps and data collection elements are addressed during each audit. Additional Duties Undertake other duties, including but not limited to working in other areas as delegated and as directed by the lead auditor and manager. Attend and participate in training and meetings as required. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE A qualified Industrial engineer or process engineer. Proven experience in overseeing the linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems. Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modelling / mapping, methodology development and data mapping. Good project management skills and / or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
