Waterfall Gully Cafe and Nursery – Rosebud VIC We are seeking an experienced and versatile Cafe Chef / Cook to join our well‑established café‑nursery team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking our seasonal menu items to a consistently high standard, while supporting the smooth running of the kitchen. This position is suited to an efficient multi‑tasker with a strong work ethic, tidy approach, and a genuine love for the hospitality industry. Location: Rosebud, VIC 3939 Casual Position: 35‑40 hours per week What you’ll be doing Preparing and cooking a range of food from ready‑made sandwiches to café‑style breakfast. Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment. Assisting with stock control – monitoring supplies, minimising waste, and supporting ordering processes. Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and timely meal preparation. Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations. Contributing to a positive team culture and excellent customer experience. What we’re looking for Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar cooking role. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards. Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy café environment. Clean, tidy, and detail‑oriented approach to work. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification (preferred but not essential).
