Respect Aged Care’s Woodhaven facility in Lockhart NSW, is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Food Services Assistant to join our kitchen team. In this essential role, you will help ensure that our residents receive well-prepared, nutritious meals that meet their individual dietary needs and enhance their daily living experience. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation, portioning, serving, and timely delivery of meals and refreshments to residents. Ensure all meals are served in accordance with individual dietary requirements and preferences, as outlined by clinical staff and the Food Services Program (FSP). Support the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the FSP, including temperature checks, recording deliveries, and maintaining food safety standards. Assist in menu planning and meal presentation to meet the diverse needs of residents. Maintain cleanliness in food preparation, service, and dining areas according to hygiene and safety standards. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to support a clean and safe environment. Communicate effectively with residents and staff to ensure satisfaction and identify any food-related concerns. Perform other related tasks as directed and appropriate to your skills and training. Qualifications & Experience Completion of a recognised Food Handling Course. A current National Police Certificate (or willingness and ability to obtain one). First Aid. Previous experience in residential aged care food services. Background in hospitality or catering.
