Please note that it is a requirement that staff working in a residential aged care environment, be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at time of commencing employment.We are looking for a casual Maintenance officer to assist with immediate periods of leave relief and the ongoing care of our Albury facilities.Responsibilities:General maintenance and repair work of equipmentMinor building and construction workTo follow policies and procedures as detailed in the Quality Manuals.Maintaining and Development the grounds and gardensCleaning Tasksmowing, whipper-snipping and edging of grassed areasWeed and pest eradication
Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceOral and written communication skillsBasic Computer skills - Word processing and Spreadsheet preparationAbility to work with minimal supervisionQualifications and/or experience in relevant trade or garden maintenance.Understanding of the Aged care or Health industry.Working at HeightsTest and Tag licenseChemical Users Certificate.Lutheran Aged Care is a NDIS approved provider. As part of the NDIS scheme, employees working within a NDIS facility, in a risk assessed role, must have a completed NDIS check. This is part of compliance and needs to be completed prior to commencement.All aged care workers must be vaccinated against seasonal influenza and have the relevant COVID and Booster vaccinations in line with State legislation. Evidence of these vaccinations will be required prior to commencement.You will be required to conduct daily Rapid Antigen TestsYou may be required to wear facemasks.Lutheran Aged Care Albury has been looking after people in the Albury area since 1959.
