To help us achieve this we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Arborist / Tree Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible to undertake operational arboricultural activities across Councils' diverse public tree population and contributing to creating a liveable community. To be considered for this role, you will need to have completed an AQF Level 3 (Certificate III) in either horticulture or arboriculture or have demonstrated significant recent industry experience, along with a current class MR Drivers Licence. We are looking for someone who has recent experience delivering a variety of Arboriculture/Horticulture practices, including tree pruning and removal techniques. You will display highly developed communication skills and a proactive, positive and professional attitude. A working knowledge of employee obligations under Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Safe Work NSW Code of Practice - Amenity Tree Industry Standards is also essential. A current National Licence to Perform High Risk Work (WP + Boom type elevated work platform) is desirable but not essential for this role. Typical Day This Role Will Work with the Vegetation Operations team to deliver tree services. Tree removals across the LGA. Ensure the planting schedule is delivered. Apply all the essential WHS to ensure safe working conditions.
