Currently our KCGM Growth Project Team has a fantastic opportunity for Superintendents - Dry & Wet Plant to join the Northern Star construction team managing the major expansion & modernisation project of the KCGM Gold Processing Facility in Kalgoorlie.
Reporting to the Senior Construction Manager , this position will be an initial 18-month contract , working a 14/7 FIFO roster out of Perth.
Here is what awaits you:
Tracking and reporting on project progress and performance of various site contractors. Review and coordinate required project schedule updates and weekly reports with contractors. Ensure adherence to QA/QC requirements. Overseeing site project execution, HSE support, QA/QC, and closeout (commissioning). Working closely with KCGM operations, not to affect operations. Assisting the Senior Construction Manager on daily coordination activities. Support the integrated owners Engineering team in closing/resolving engineering issues which could affect contractors' performance. Drive a culture of continuous improvement & positive collaboration between NSR & relevant stakeholders. Take timely corrective action to address any issues raised by Operations & Contractors. Reviewing and advise on commercial, contracts and scope changes when requested or noted. In the absence of the Senior Construction Manager escalate any potential issues which could adversely affect project outcomes & deliverables. To thrive in this role, you'll need:
As a highly experienced Project Superintendent , you have gained significant experience in similar site-based roles, have worked on both Greenfields & Brownfields Construction Projects , and understand the complexities involved in the delivery of large-scale mining, construction projects.
Experience:
15+ years of experience delivering large projects in the resources industry, ideally including 5+ years of working with gold. Experience across multiple SMP disciplines. A sound understanding of administration, finance & business reporting concepts. A thorough understanding & working knowledge of Project Management tools. Experience in managing change activities, as well as stakeholder management. Possess a strong level of computer literacy across the MS Office Suite , as well as experience using Navisworks. Qualifications:
Hold a Trade or Engineering Qualification , as well as extensive experience in the mining industry. An Industry recognised project management qualification, coupled with significant hands-on experience would be well regarded. Passion for Growth:
