What you'll experience Experience unique rotations in RDHM and East Grampians Health Service: Oral Surgery (RDHM) Work closely with residents, registrars and consultants Observe and assist in complex surgical cases including: Wisdom tooth removal Sinus perforation repair Management of patients with complex medical histories Opportunities for practical experience in both surgical clinics and day surgery units Primary Care (RDHM) Manage a variety of cases including trauma patients Clinic sessions with paediatric dentists Observation with paediatric dentists in the day surgery unit Observation and case involvement with endodontists Experience in managing complex cases such as crowns and root‑canal treatment Rural Rotation: Ararat (East Grampians Health Service) Work as part of a close‑knit rural dental team including oral health therapists Manage diverse and complex cases unique to regional settings Treat patients in day surgery units with direct support from senior dentists Get involved with Smile Squad programmes and community dental initiatives Develop resilience and independence while always having support nearby Find out more about your rural placement here.
