If you're creative, detail-oriented, and thrive in a dynamic cafe environment, we want to hear from you About the Role As our Chef, you'll be the driving force behind our culinary operations, combining creativity with commercial acumen to create memorable dishes that keep customers coming back. You'll lead from the front, managing all aspects of kitchen operations while mentoring your team to achieve excellence. Key Responsibilities Culinary Leadership Develop and refine innovative menus that showcase seasonal ingredients and current food trends Prepare and present dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every service Source quality ingredients while managing procurement budgets effectively Operational Excellence Maintain comprehensive inventory management systems to minimize waste and optimize stock levels Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards Develop and manage staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage during all service periods Team Development Provide guidance and mentorship to kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment Foster strong communication and collaboration within the kitchen and with front-of-house teams Lead by example, inspiring your team to deliver their best every day What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a cafe or restaurant setting Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices Creative flair with excellent presentation skills Budget management experience and commercial awareness Outstanding organizational and time management abilities Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods Qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) preferred What We Offer Competitive salary package Opportunity to shape and develop our menu Supportive team environment Career development and growth opportunities Staff meals and discounts How to Apply To apply, please submit your resume along with a brief cover letter outlining your experience and culinary philosophy.
