Reliability Engineer – Mechanical (Fixed Plant) Location: Pilbara Start Date: Early January 2026 Contract: 6 months Rate: $100–$110 per hour FIFO: 8/6 Why Join? Work on a site acting as the company's green energy hub Local contractor support, based out of Perth PAYG or Pty Ltd options Salary sacrifice and novated leasing options Fortnightly payroll (PAYG) About the Role Join a high-performing Fixed Plant Maintenance team as a Reliability Engineer – Mechanical , where you’ll play a key role in improving plant reliability and supporting critical operations. This position offers exposure to both dry and wet plant areas , with a preference for experience in pumps , though specialists in other fixed plant equipment are welcome. You’ll work alongside three other mechanical engineers , reporting to the Reliability Lead. The role involves both day-to-day reliability support and longer-term improvement projects. Key Responsibilities Provide technical input to enhance fixed plant reliability and maintenance strategies. Engage in daily safety activities and discussions to promote team safety goals. Analyse reliability data to identify optimisation opportunities and implement improvements. Lead and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to eliminate defects. Manage wear material performance and optimisation across fixed plant. Contribute to high-value improvement projects and lifecycle management of equipment. Ensure effectiveness of strategies including offsite repairs and maintain integrity of equipment data. Coach team members on best practice data capturing for quality assurance. Provide day-to-day support to maintenance execution teams on technical queries and troubleshooting. Support inputs towards annual budgeting cycle. About You Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Strong experience in maintenance and/or reliability engineering within Mining or Oil & Gas. Proven ability to lead small projects and collaborate across teams. Familiarity with SAP and data management (Work Management, Material Master Data). Skilled in reliability methodologies such as FMEA , RCA , and RCM . Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and WA Mines Regulations. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Safety-focused mindset with demonstrated leadership qualities. What Next?
