About the role With a mission to back the next generation of Australian technology leaders, we require individuals that are "mission" oriented, highly motivated, independent thinkers who, like our portfolio partners, act entrepreneurially to develop the Arconic franchise over time. We are seeking a new associate/analyst who is passionate about the intersection of technology, commerce and growth capital. Your Role Dive deep into emerging sectors to uncover trends, opportunities and high-potential ventures aligned with the Arconic thesis. Leverage cutting-edge AI tools and proprietary systems to map markets and assess start-ups to support new opportunities. Build relationships with founders, industry experts and strategic partners to enhance deal flow. Support sourcing and due diligence on early-stage to growth-stage investment opportunities, including financial modelling, market research and competitive analysis. Contribute to investment decision-making through research, analysis and due diligence. Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for internal committees. Monitor portfolio company performance, analyse reports and engage with founders and management teams to drive strategic growth. Work closely with senior team members, contributing to deal execution, investor relations and internal strategy development. As a new and scaling manager, we will all support the prudent function of the business and contribute to key aspects of financial, operations, risk and compliance management. Who you are and what we value 2–6 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, consulting, investment banking, or technology operating roles. Strong interest in technology and a passion for transformative ventures in AI, fintech, and enterprise software. Demonstrated analytical skills, including financial modelling, market research, and problem-solving. A strong and functional grasp of emerging technologies. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Strong analytical and research skills, with a keen eye for patterns and potential. Entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter mindset, eager to thrive in a high-growth environment. Ability to distil complex data into actionable insights. Learn and use the technologies shaping start-ups, including AI / ML models, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and software development.
