Principal Scientist – Slade HealthDynamic and Supportive Work EnvironmentBe Part of An Exciting TeamManage a Laboratory and Team of ScientistsPlay an Instrumental Role in Defining the On-going Program of WorksPermanent Full-Time Position – Mt Kuring-gai, NSW LocationAbout Slade:Slade Health is a national provider of aseptically compounded chemotherapy, antibiotics and analgesic medicines. It operates TGA Licensed manufacturing facilities in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales.

About the Role:The Principal Scientist will lead a key strategic initiative to develop in-house analytical testing capability. In consultation with senior leadership you will be instrumental in establishing market trends and priorities and then deliver on a program of works to ultimately provide a superior stability offering of our compounded medicines to our customers. The laboratory you will manage will also provide enhanced internal capability to support the requirements of our operations, quality and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities:

The role will be instrumental in:Overseeing operation of SLH Laboratory ensuring compliance to procedures and GMP requirementOverseeing qualification and validation all key laboratory equipmentManagement, training and support to scientists and laboratory techniciansDevelopment and validation of physical and chemical methods for analysis of:

Monoclonal antibodies and antibody drug conjugatesAntibioticsSmall chemical drug moleculesDrug infusion devices

Designing and conducting required experimental workPreparation of protocols and reports as per SLH and ICH guidelinesInvestigation of non-conformances, OOSs and deviations as required.Management of stability study programManagement of validation activitiesWhat we are looking for:You will ideally be Ph.D. qualified, commercially focussed, familiar with the strict requirements of cGMP and able to prioritise workloads to ensure that desired outcomes are achieved to challenging deadlines. You will be an independent thinker and innovator with previous experience in various analytical techniques including:HPLC (SEC, HIC, CIEX, RP)CZE and SDS CEELISAUV/VISCell based assaysPhysical analysis techniques including sub visible particles/ microscopyThis role is offered on a permanent full-time basis working 76 hours per fortnight (Mon–Fri). Slade Health Mt Kuring-gai is a good location to consider if you would like a commute to work that doesn’t involve CBD traffic
