To learn more, visit Your Next Chapter Starts Here BRAMS is seeking a full-time Speech Pathologist , based in Broome, WA , to deliver evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services to children, adults, and older people with communication, language, swallowing, feeding, and cognitive-communication disorders. This role works across BRAMS’ Aged Care, NDIS, and Primary Health Care programs and provides both clinic-based and community-based services. The position contributes to multidisciplinary care planning, clinical education, and service improvement, ensuring all services are person-centred, safe, and culturally responsive. Key responsibilities include: Providing independent assessment, diagnosis, and management of communication, language, swallowing, feeding, cognitive-communication, and respiratory disorders. Developing and implementing mealtime management plans in collaboration with consumers, carers, and clinical staff. Delivering individual and group therapy programs addressing speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing difficulties. Supporting consumers and families through education and training about communication strategies and swallowing safety. Participating in multidisciplinary care planning, goal setting, and discharge planning to support coordinated, holistic care. Managing a clinical caseload across multiple programs, maintaining appropriate prioritisation and timely follow-up. Contributing to service evaluation, continuous improvement initiatives, and culturally relevant education materials. Is This You? The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and be recognised as a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) through Speech Pathology Australia, or be eligible to obtain certification prior to commencement. You’ll demonstrate : Experience in the assessment and management of communication, swallowing, feeding, and cognitive-communication disorders. Proven ability to deliver culturally safe, person-centred, and evidence-based care. Experience in mealtime assessment, planning, and risk management. Strong communication, documentation, and organisational skills. A commitment to continuous professional development, reflective practice, and quality improvement. A collaborative and positive approach that supports a culturally safe workplace. Experience within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation or community health setting, along with an understanding of Aboriginal culture, values, and the social determinants of health, will be highly regarded.
