Senior Accountant - Refinery at Covalent Lithium Join us as a Senior Accountant in our Kwinana Refinery, supporting our integrated mine‑to‑refinery operations and helping to produce battery‑grade lithium hydroxide for global markets. This permanent full‑time position is based at our Kwinana Office. Key Responsibilities Refinery month‑end reporting process including calculation, preparation and posting of journals (accruals, inventory valuations, allocations, provisions). Collaborate in the coordination and management of the budget and 2‑year plan process. Investigate variances, conduct appropriate analysis, and prepare meaningful commentary in support of the month‑end and planning (budget, forecast and 2‑year plan) submissions. Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations. Review and processing of inventory valuations. Preparation of specific financial and cost information for the Refinery. Ensure appropriate classification and treatment of capital expenditure and fixed assets. Provide support to the Financial Accounting function in the review of Covalent’s positions on key technical accounting issues (e.g. leases), during financial audits and in the completion of statutory submissions. Prepare documentation of Covalent’s accounting processes for the Refinery. Identify and implement systems, procedures and tools to best run the management accounting function for the Refinery. Role Requirements CA/CPA qualified. Bachelor of Commerce degree (majoring in Accounting and/or Finance). Minimum of 5 years’ experience. Previous experience in industrial, chemical or manufacturing preferred. Experience in resources and mining will be highly regarded. Previous experience in using SAP preferred.
