The Production Planner is responsible for developing, scheduling, and maintaining all maintenance activities for aircraft and associated equipment, including the development and management of the maintenance program. This includes creating and managing maintenance work orders, tracking maintenance progress, and ensuring the timely completion of all maintenance activities. The role works closely with other departments to ensure maintenance activities are completed efficiently and in compliance with all applicable regulations. Annual salary ranges from AUD 70,772 to 86,134 per year, plus super and allowance. Responsibilities Manage maintenance work orders for all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities. Ensure maintenance activities are scheduled and completed timely and efficiently, in compliance with regulations. Track maintenance progress and provide regular updates to Production Engineer, PMO, and other departments. Provide input to the PMO regarding resource requirements, including staffing and equipment needs. Coordinate with other departments to align maintenance activities with the organisation's schedule. Conduct regular reviews of maintenance program activities and undertake pre‑release checks and work authorisations. Raise work orders for incoming maintenance or additional work, ensuring clarity and scope for effective planning. Initiate and prepare job packs; maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all maintenance activities. Ensure project milestones and critical path tasks are monitored; notify PE/PMO if a milestone is at risk. Assist in daily toolbox meetings and support CRS handovers, ensuring paperwork is signed off progressively against the master checklist. Communicate daily with Tech Records to review the master checklist and keep both parties up to date. Submit tooling loan requests and review daily time reports to monitor actual hours against ASR estimates. Qualifications At least 3 years of experience in a maintenance production planning role within a CASA Part 145 Aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Facility or extensive knowledge of production planning & maintenance operations. Comprehensive understanding of CASA Part 145 regulations. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation. Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze complex data sets to make data‑driven decisions. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Ability to work independently and as part of a team; common courtesy and customer orientation.
