Senior Project Engineer

If you’ve been wanting more influence in your engineering role and a break from Melbourne’s pace, this project delivers both. Only a couple of hours from the city, you’ll enjoy quiet coastal living while taking charge of the technical delivery on a major upgrade in South Gippsland that needs your experience from day one. This isn’t a role where you’ll sit back and review paperwork. You’ll be hands‑on with design interpretation, methodology decisions and practical solutions that keep the job moving. The upgrade includes pavement and concrete works, major footings, drainage upgrades and ground stabilisation, so your engineering capability will be pushed in a good way. And because this is a 12‑month contract tied to a $100m work package, you’ll know exactly what you’re delivering from the start. The company behind the upgrade is a trusted commercial and industrial D&C business known for being practical, collaborative and forward‑thinking. Their pipeline spans commercial, industrial and marine projects across Australia, and this project is a key part of their growth in Victoria. A package of $200k-$240k is on offer for the right experience, along with the benefits required for work in South Gippsland. The 12‑month contract also has potential for more as subsequent stages progress. To be considered, you’ll need a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or something similar, along with around 10 years’ experience delivering civil or marine projects. You’ll also need supervision or project management exposure, giving you the confidence to guide teams, solve technical problems and keep work moving on a complex upgrade like this.
