All while staying committed to our member first ethos as a proud Industry Fund. About the role CBUS is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Senior Manager to play a key role in its Financial Control team. The new position is responsible for overseeing APRA regulatory data reporting, leading the Fund’s APRA reporting framework, and managing the identification, assessment, and implementation of reporting changes. The position will also play a key finance role in other regulator reporting (such as ASIC or the Payments Time Reporting Regulator). Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, the role ensures robust reporting processes, procedures, and governance. It sits within a collaborative Finance and Enterprise Performance team focused on delivering insights, supporting strategic decision‑making, and driving continuous improvement. Key Accountabilities Lead and enhance the Fund’s APRA data collection and reporting framework to ensure full regulatory compliance. Oversee timely and accurate submission of Quarterly, Annual, and Ad‑hoc APRA returns, acting as the business SME for APRA Connect/NUJ. Coordinate with internal data owners, the administrator, custodian, and business units to source, validate, and manage reporting data. Manage responses to APRA and other regulator queries by collaborating with relevant business units. Monitor and assess changes in regulatory and industry guidance to maintain reporting accuracy. Partner with risk, compliance, and legal teams to interpret APRA definitions and implement required changes. Oversee other regulatory reporting obligations, including Payments Times Reporting (PTRS). Support design and effectiveness of internal controls, working with project teams and first line risk. Maintain and improve process and policy documentation for APRA and broader financial regulatory reporting. What we’re looking for Demonstrated experience in superannuation trustee reporting or consulting/audit roles focused on regulatory reporting in financial services. Exceptional stakeholder management skills across business, technical, and senior leadership groups. Strong data analysis, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking capabilities. Ability to identify and implement process improvements in APRA‑related finance and operational reporting. Experience in finance projects or change environments within superannuation or broader financial services (preferred). Deep understanding of compliance, legislation, and regulatory requirements in financial services, particularly superannuation. Ability to interpret regulations and build or enhance reporting processes and frameworks. Experience engaging with financial regulators and participating in industry working groups.
