PLC Engineer (BBBH3517) Scoresby, Melbourne, Australia Are you an experienced Programmable Logic Controller Engineer looking for your next contract? We currently have a 6 month contract opportunity based in Scoresby to join an industry leader working on a state-of-the-art Maritime Autonomy program. The successful candidate will require a current / reinstatable NV1 clearance and have a proven track record with programming, configuration and installation of PLC’s in safety critical environments. Candidates with a PLC background in robotics, electrical and autonomous systems are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Providing selection, programming, configuration and installation of PLCs in industrial environments Verification testing and commissioning PLC projects including DC drives, sensors and actuators Developing solutions with IEC 61131 Structured Text Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and ControlLogix PLC products Support of PLC systems, including fault diagnosis and escalation HMI interfacing to plant PLCs Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering (robotics, Software, Electronics, Mechatronics or similar) Previous experience in similar positions Proven background with PLC Brands, particularly Bechoff, Siemens Demonstrated experience with source code management and general coding practices for PLC Experience with automotive or other similar control devices used in moving machinery Experience with IoT and other smaller scale control devices Experience with CANBus - SAE J1939 and NMEA2000 Implementation, verification, commissioning of moving machinery projects Current NV1 security clearance Cleared Recruitment is leading the way for Defence recruitment services, bringing together some of Australia's best talent in ICT, Engineering and business and connecting those with specialised and future thinking Defence industry suppliers to ensure Australia is mission-ready at all times. #J-18808-Ljbffr
