Epping North Out of School Hours Care Program Inc. Our school sits within a small, tight-knit community that will welcome you with open arms. The Management Committee is made up of parent volunteers with expertise across early childhood, public education, law, finance, health and technology. We are here for our team without hovering. We nurture our people, invest in professional growth and make room for fun. You will inherit a high-performing service. Our long-serving Director has led more than a decade of growth and maturity, leaving a strong compliance record and well-documented processes, procedures and structures. Our philosophy is child-centred play, leisure and learning. Children have a safe space to explore their boundaries and environment. We staff well above the 1:15 ratio because more educators means more supervision and more joy. Our solid financial position is reinvested back into the program, and we love testing ideas from children, families, educators and senior staff so the service keeps evolving with community needs and interests. About you We are looking for a Director who will take a great service into its next chapter. You bring a clear vision for what OOSH can be and the rich experiences children can have when they are with us. You can show how your values and skills come to life in the daily program, in team culture, and in partnerships with families and the school. In this role you will lead the service day to day, guide a capable team, champion quality practice and continuous improvement, and ensure we meet our legal obligations under the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, the National Quality Framework and Child Safe Standards. You will also keep an eye on the business side of a community service so we continue to thrive into our fourth decade. We value experience as an OOSH or early learning Director, experience in an educational role in a school, or senior experience working with primary-aged children. Most important is your understanding of the needs and opportunities in out of school hours care for children aged 5 to 12, and your motivation to keep improving as a professional and on behalf of the service. Remuneration will be aligned to your qualifications and experience. Timeline We are moving quickly for a January 2026 start. Applications close at 11.59 pm on Sunday 30 November 2025. Shortlisting will take place on Monday 1 November, with interviews from Tuesday 2 to Tuesday 9 December. Referee checks, Working With Children Check verification and other pre-employment checks will run during this period. There is an opportunity for an earlier start to shadow our current Director prior to her departure at the end of Term 4. Paid shadowing and handover sessions can be arranged in in the final weeks of Term 4 by mutual agreement. Our preferred commencement is the week of Monday 5 January 2026 to prepare for Term 1 and oversee Vacation Care alongside other OOSH senior staff.
