Cashier/Sales Assistant

We’re looking for a friendly, confident communicator to join our Sales team. Do you have a sale‑driven attitude and a commitment to delivering excellence? This Cashier/Sales Assistant role may be the perfect fit. Candidate should have a positive, can‑do attitude and enjoy meeting new people. You will happily interact with customers face‑to‑face daily to provide the first‑class service our company is well known for. Ideal candidate will maintain excellent customer service while processing sales and inputting orders into our system. Salary: £25,900.00 pro rata per annum. This part‑time position requires 16 hours per week. Location: New South Wales, Australia (Head Office: Bar Beach). Required Skills Strong customer service experience, ideally within a telesales environment Great telephone manners and email writing skills Ability to engage with customers on the phone in a friendly and professional way Strong computer skills and experience working with Dynamics AX Eligibility to live and work in the UK (or local residency as required) A good standard of spoken English Great communication and people skills A friendly, positive, problem‑solving nature Confidence to handle cash in a fast‑paced environment Knowledge and experience of working in a frontline job Computer literacy (including Microsoft Word and Excel) Responsibilities Input orders into the system for collection and delivery Identify sales opportunities to grow existing customer accounts Generate sales through contact with prospective customers Respond efficiently to queries with appropriate information on products and services Manage designated accounts Interact with customers and process sales quickly, accurately and efficiently Initiate sales leads to promote product sales and increase annual turnover, in line with sales targets Benefits 28 days paid annual leave (including Bank Holidays), increasing to 33 days with length of service Access to hundreds of exclusive discounts and savings through our JJ family portal Free support with personal legal, medical, health and wellbeing issues A free telephone counselling service Free secure parking Cycle to work scheme Equal Opportunity Employer JJ Foodservice is an equal opportunities employer, committed to creating an inclusive culture and encouraging a diversity of people.
