To find out more visit our website at **.**MSS Security is seeking a dedicated and professional Casual Security Officer to join our team across several of our government sites in Devonport.**Key Responsibilities:*** Provide a professional, courteous, and helpful point of contact for staff and visitors, assisting with general inquiries and directions.* Respond appropriately and promptly to incidents, emergencies, or security breaches, ensuring the safety of all personnel and visitors.* Monitor and control access points to the building, ensuring only authorised personnel are granted entry.* Work collaboratively as part of a team to maintain high-security standards and resolve any issues that arise.**Ideal candidates will have:*** Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deescalate tense situations.* A readiness, confidence and assertiveness to manage challenging situations.* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.* A strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality service.**Requirements:*** Full Australian working rights.* Valid Tasmanian Security licence.* Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations.* Valid First Aid and CPR certificates (or willing to obtain).* Working With Vulnerable People (or willing to obtain).* Willing to undergo and pass a National Criminal History check.**Master Licence Number:** 5784## **How to apply**MSS Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer, valuing the unique backgrounds, experiences, and contributions of each person We encourage and celebrate diversity.We are proud to:* be certified by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency,* be a partner and supporter of Veterans employment and honoured to have an endorsed INNOVATE Reconciliation Action Plan.
