Lecturer, Occupational Therapy (Education Specialist) - Department of Allied Health Join the Occupational Therapy team within the Department of Allied Health Attractive salary depending on qualifications and benefits with flexible working options About the Job As a Lecturer (Education Specialist) – Occupational Therapy, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, inclusive educational experiences for our Occupational Therapy students. You will lead and champion educational initiatives in collaboration with the Education Specialist community across the University. In this role, you will coordinate units, prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops and blended learning activities, and assess and support students both on campus and online. You will also engage with relevant industries, communities and professional bodies to ensure the course remains contemporary and industry‑aligned, preparing students effectively for fieldwork placements and their future careers. In addition, you will provide academic guidance to students and contribute broadly to the academic and research acumen of the Occupational Therapy program, the Department, the School and the University. Support to undertake additional qualifications relevant to the role may be provided. Commencement: April 2026. About you Demonstrated experience in teaching, associated administrative duties, unit and/or course coordination and curriculum development at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels as relevant to Occupational Therapy. Demonstrated commitment to best‑practice education practices within the relevant discipline, using a range of pedagogical approaches, including blended and online formats, work‑integrated learning and the use of educational technology, including immersive digital technology. Demonstrated experience in supporting students from diverse backgrounds and designing inclusive and equitable learning environments. High level of oral and written communication skills in dealing with students, university staff and contacts in the outside business environment. Commitment to undertake educationally focused research relevant to the role. Qualifications Master’s in relevant field is essential. A completed PhD is desirable. PhD enrolment, or equivalent professional experience in Occupational Therapy, will be highly considered. Current registration (or eligibility for registration) with Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
