About the Role We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for our Maintenance and Transport Officer role. Core Responsibilities & Duties Living out your faith in a Christian school community Ensure the College grounds are maintained to a safe standard for the college’s daily operations Respond promptly to maintenance requests Communicate to the Principal any matters that affect school use of property or safety concerns Ensure the school is meeting regulatory standards, compliance and insurance Support the Principal’s vision for the site, including restoring, renovating, removing and establishing facilities and amenities. Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes. Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere, building strong relationships with our students. Adhere to the allocated schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient service. Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate transportation for staff and student excursions and camps. Maintain a clean and tidy bus interior, promoting a comfortable and welcoming environment for students. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the bus. Safely load and unload students at designated stops, ensuring their well-being and maintaining order. Ensure a warm, friendly and welcoming manner Maintains safety by operating or initiating emergency systems as trained and required. Contribute to the holistic care and welfare of students Demonstrate a commitment to improving professional practice through professional development Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards; Participate in child safety and wellbeing induction and training provided by the school and always follow the school’s child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures; Act in accordance with our Child Safety Code of Conduct; Identify and raise concerns about child safety issues in accordance with our Child Safety Responding and Reporting Obligations Policy and Procedures, including following the Four Critical Actions for Schools; Ensure students’ views are taken seriously and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives; Model and promote the vision and values of the school; This permanent full time position will start as soon as possible.
