Business Unit Lead | Oncology Launch

With a strong focus in Haematology, Oncology and Rare Diseases, they commercialise highly innovative therapies across international markets, helping to save and improve the lives of patients suffering from the most challenging diseases. Due to an exciting launch, we have partnered with this company to build their new national team and we are looking for a Business Unit Head who will drive their pre-launch and launch strategy and lead the commercial function and team as the business grows.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will have responsibility for:Pre-launch and market preparation activities for their rare disease portfolio in AustraliaSupporting local market access strategy for their product portfolioCo-developing and executing the cross-functional operational and brand plansEnsuring sales objectives and business growth are achieved for in-line productsLeading, coaching and mentoring a high performing team; as well as building and actively managing a pipeline of succession talentPartnering with and supporting the the Australian and global cross-functional teamsContribute to developing the culture and expansion of the local affiliateAs the successful candidate you will need to have:
Proven track record as a Commercial leader within the pharmaceutical industryExperienced people manager with ability to motivate team membersStrong strategic and executional marketing experiencePreferably rare diseases experience in pre launch and launch activitiesExcellent customer relationship building, communication and collaboration skillsAbility to prioritise and make decisions across many key objectives in multiple TA'sAn ability to work in an agile and fast paced environment
This will be both a challenging and rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to launch a rare disease portfolio into Australia, as well as build and lead the commercial function as the business grows.
