About the roleThis an amazing role for a professional to join one of Tonkin’s dynamic engineering teams, as we have experienced growth in our Adelaide office. Working in an environment that encourages innovation and high performance, you will have the opportunity to develop your expertise by working on a diverse range of development projects across our residential, educational, public works and other commercial sectors.The key responsibilities of the role will include:• Apply your technical expertise on a range of development projects.• Collaborate with other Tonkin team members and external stakeholders to develop complex engineering solutions with a focus on land development projects.• Proactively communicate with clients and other stakeholders on technical matters and issues.• Complete design calculations, documentation, technical reports, specifications and contract documents to meet client and authority requirements.• Carry out role of superintendent and conduct site inspections during construction.• Communicate with contractors and subconsultants.• Understand Statutory requirements and appropriate Standards, and how these may impact upon the scope and extent of the project.• Identify and assess project risks and communicate these to the project team.• Opportunity exists to grow a high performing TeamAbout youTo be successful in the role, you will ideally possess:• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering• 1-4 years experience in the delivery of civil engineering design services focussed on development projects• A focus on learning and personal growth• Be a strong team player whose personal values align with Tonkin’s values of Trust, Together, Care and Excellence.Build a future you believe in, with us…When you join us at Tonkin, you become part of a nation-wide team in an employee-owned company who thrive on delivering exceptional outcomes that put people and our community first.
