About the role The Lead Electrical Engineer is accountable for leading all electrical and control systems engineers across our Acacia Ridge site, ensuring the effective execution of the company's electrical and control systems. This role is critical in driving technical excellence, standardisation, and innovation in electrical and control systems across Austube Mills Acacia Ridge. Working across 4 production lines and a large scale warehouse, with a site of over 80 people. Responsibilities Develop and implement the electrical and control systems strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives, ensuring consistency and high standards across all sites. Ensure all electrical and control systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols. Proactively manage risks associated with electrical and control systems to minimize operational disruptions and enhance safety. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical and control systems engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and collaboration. Lead the development of the 2 direct reports through the InfraBuild leadership competencies. Establish and maintain robust monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track the performance of electrical and control systems, providing regular updates and insights to senior management. Provide technical assistance to operations and maintenance personnel. Maintain Site Electrical HV services and liaise with relevant personnel. Work with your team to support the maintenance of critical production systems (i.e., level 1, 2 and 3 systems). Qualifications Knowledge of AS and other electrical standards applicable in Australia. Leadership skills and a tertiary qualification in Electrical, Control Systems or Mechatronics Engineering or similar, with project management experience. Demonstrable commitment to Safety and an understanding of Safe systems of work. Exposure to or experience with managing 3rd‑party electrical contractors in a heavy industry. Experience with Siemens, Omron & Delta PLC (experience in at least one required). AVEVA SCADA (in‑touch, system platform and plant SCADA experience) is necessary. Experience working directly in a manufacturing environment for at least 5 years. Highly regarded experience: Lean or Six Sigma, TUV or SIL level certification. Leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
