About the Role We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Lighting System Planner to play a central role in planning, coordinating, and optimising the manufacture of extrusion-based linear lighting systems. This position sits at the intersection of engineering, production, procurement, and commercial delivery, ensuring products are built efficiently, accurately, and on time. You will be responsible for production planning, BOM integrity, material readiness, and schedule control. Helping translate complex lighting systems into well-executed manufacturing outcomes within a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage detailed production schedules for extrusion cutting, assembly, and finishing operations. Sequence work to optimise throughput, minimise changeovers, and maximise material efficiency. Release accurate work orders supported by validated BOMs, drawings, and configuration rules. Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure material and capacity readiness. Monitor live production progress and adjust plans in response to operational constraints or project changes. Support prototype builds, trials, and development runs for new extrusion systems and profiles. Provide feasibility assessments, lead-time guidance, and risk escalation for custom or non-standard configurations. Maintain planning data integrity, documentation accuracy, and version control across systems. What You’ll Bring 3–5 years’ experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing coordination within a technical environment. Strong understanding of extrusion-based systems, componentry, and assembly workflows (lighting or similar industries advantageous). Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Materials. Experience working with ERP / MRP systems (NetSuite experience highly regarded). Strong Excel skills and confidence working with production data, material usage, and performance metrics. Clear communicator with the ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, procurement, and commercial teams. Organised, detail-focused, and proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset. Engineering qualification or trade-aligned technical background (electrical, mechanical, or industrial). Exposure to LED systems, drivers, optics, standard & IP-rated assemblies, or configurable product platforms. Experience in lean manufacturing, production optimisation, or workflow improvement initiatives.
