Senior Programs Officer – Aboriginal Health Strategy Be among the first 25 applicants. Overview South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services across a catchment area of 3,300 square kilometres in the southern half of Perth. SMHS has a vision of “Excellent health care, every time” and is committed to supporting Aboriginal communities through strategic initiatives in workforce, cultural security and community engagement. The role is part of the Aboriginal Health Strategy team and focuses on coordinating and evaluating Aboriginal Health projects that serve the local community. Responsibilities Support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives within the Aboriginal Health Strategy team. Collaborate with internal and external key stakeholders in planning, implementing and evaluating Aboriginal Health projects and programs. Drive initiatives with a strategic focus across workforce, cultural security and community engagement within SMHS. Use data analysis to inform project planning and to provide insights for the broader health service. Qualifications Applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent and be recognised as such by the community. Experience in program management, community engagement or related health initiatives is desirable. Strong analytical skills and ability to use data for decision‑making.
