About the Role In early 2025 A&M Australia opened its Restructuring & Turnaround business offering and we now have a national team of highly skilled professionals situated throughout Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane & Perth, led by 5 Registered Liquidators. The Treasury staff play a crucial role supporting this team with compliance and accounting tasks. We are looking to add a new qualified bookkeeper to join the Treasury team. This role can be part‑time (minimum 3 days/week) or full‑time, and may include remote work in line with A&M policy. How You Will Contribute You will work under the supervision of our professional staff and Registered Liquidators, alongside our existing Treasury staff member. Using specialised insolvency accounting software, IPS‑Cloud, you will primarily assist engagement teams to maintain accurate accounts for all formal insolvency engagements. Day‑to‑Day Duties Setting up new insolvency engagements in IPS. Processing receipts, payments and journal entries in a timely manner. Reconciling bank accounts on a regular basis. Preparing and lodging financial reports with ASIC in prescribed form. Conduct payroll processing and ensure compliance with STP reporting obligations. BAS preparation and lodgements. Maintaining debtor ledgers and assisting with debtor collection where required. Data entry and maintenance of creditor databases. Preparing and paying distributions to creditors. Final reconciliations, lodgements and closure of concluded insolvency engagements. Other Duties Assist Registered Liquidators with their annual and tri‑annual ASIC lodgements and returns. Liaise with ASIC regarding lodgement issues. Assist with opening and closing bank accounts for insolvency engagements. Preparing practice management reports. Assist professional staff with other insolvency administration duties from time to time. Qualifications Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or equivalent, plus proven experience as a bookkeeper. Experience working in an insolvency firm is advantageous but not required. Proficiency in popular cloud‑based accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB); familiarity with IPS is a plus. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices and standards. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. General knowledge of GST & PAYG compliance requirements and Single Touch Payroll reporting processes.
