Casual Optical Dispenser - Charlestown Eyecare National Optical Care, are a community of optometry practices that are passionate about empowering eye care excellence. We recently merged with George and Matilda, leveraging the combined expertise of our practice community with strong supplier relationships to deliver the very best in patient care, creating opportunities for career development. Charlestown Eyecare has been offering comprehensive optical care to locals and residents within the City of Lake Macquarie and Newcastle for more than 30 years. Our team is made up of talented individuals dedicated to providing the highest standards of eye care and customer service. Charlestown Eyecare is fully equipped with the latest technology to ensure accurate and thorough eye examinations. We are searching for an Casual Dispenser to grow our team. About the role Provide friendly and efficient reception service Assist patients in the selection of optical frames taking into account lifestyle and physical needs Recommend use of ancillary products (e.g. contact lens care products). Support other team members in the achievement of practice goals and objectives including (but not limited to) processing Medicare, health fund payments, credits / warranties, entering stock, jobs due report, debtor’s management and stock takes Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the practice including overall presentation and cleanliness Learning and development opportunities tailored to your goals Great discounts across frames and lenses including family and friends Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Perks and bonus Programs Work with a great team who are truly invested in their patients About you Effective communication and customer service skills both in person and over the phone Team focused alongside independent work Strong organizational skills and ability to problem solve Positive and energetic attitude Experience in the optical industry is preferred, however for those eager to take on a new career we are willing to develop With no weekend work or late nights If your committed to learning something new, have a passion to help others, and want to enjoy the ride along the way we want to hear from you Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
