Opportunity with CMW Geosciences in NSWAs a result of strategic growth plans, we are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our NSW teams in reaching their potential. You will have a solid and in-depth understanding of the NSW market, as well as great leadership skills.

Duties will include:

Managing a team across our three NSW locations (North Ryde, Glendenning & Wollongong) as well as the Geophysics and Grizzly specialist business units and any future expansions in the NSW region.

Work with the CMW Leadership Group & specifically NSW OMs (Office Managers) to identify, define, and oversee the implementation of strategies for reducing risk & increasing opportunities for the ANZ businesses.

Managing client communications and those from external stakeholders.

Provide visionary leadership to the entire organisation, including technical teams, project managers, and support staff.

Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to develop and expand on the current development strategy by identifying and pursuing new opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, expanding the CMW client base, and working closely with other KIWA businesses.

Working collaboratively with the HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) team.

Champion a strong safety culture throughout the business emphasizing the importance of health, safety, and environmental considerations in all aspects of work.

Monitor and drive the budget and financial performance of the region, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.

Oversee the preparation of annual budgets for the NSW businesses to ensure alignment with strategic direction. As well as monitoring and driving budgets & financial performance to ensure profitability.

Uphold the company's reputation for delivering high-quality geotechnical engineering services by implementing and maintaining rigorous quality control and assurance measures.

To be considered, we are looking for the following:

Qualified Civil Engineer or equivalent with 10+ years of experience in a similar role, working in an engineering consultancy.

Proven record in successfully developing, leading and growing team(s) across a specific territory.

A solid understanding of the NSW market and a track record in winning work.

Strong business acumen and experience in managing P&L responsibilities.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Strong organisation skills with high attention to detail is a must.

Be available to travel as across NSW or other regions, as required.
