Position Overview As the Head Chef , you will be the driving force behind the kitchen operations at Roseberry St Cafe. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, menu development, and kitchen management. You will lead, mentor, and motivate a team of kitchen staff, ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation in all dishes. The ideal candidate is a culinary leader with a passion for creating exceptional dishes and fostering a positive work environment. Key Responsibilities Kitchen Leadership : Manage, train, and inspire a team of chefs, ensuring smooth kitchen operations and a positive work environment. Quality Control : Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and maintain consistent quality. Hygiene & Safety : Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to all food safety standards and regulations. Collaboration : Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Innovation : Stay updated with current food trends and continually improve the menu to keep it fresh and exciting. Key Requirements Proven experience as a Head Chef. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene. Excellent leadership and communication skills.Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Passion for cooking, creativity, and presenting high-quality dishes. Experience managing kitchen staff, food costs, and kitchen budgets. Flexibility with work hours, including weekends and public holidays. Preferred Qualifications Culinary degree or relevant certifications. Knowledge of Australian food trends and local ingredients.
