Responsibilities Competently operate Heavy Combination vehicles to Heavy Vehicle Chain of Responsibility (HVCoR) requirements and hold a HC Class Drivers Licence. Load and unload plant from trailer and tow any trailers that their vehicle is rated to tow. Operate a variety of major plant items that are used in maintenance projects driven to worksites. Operate a HIAB or similar truck‑mounted crane. Travel throughout the region to attend worksites, including attending call outs on weekends and after‑hours scheduled night work where required. Perform any duties of a Road Worker Grade 3 as and when required. This position involves transporting, unloading/loading and operating plant with a heavy combination truck and trailer combination. About You We are looking for an experienced Heavy Combination Truck Driver who can work under limited supervision and has experience maintaining a safe and injury‑free workplace for all employees while operating in a high‑speed, high‑traffic volume environment. You’ll be confident in HVCoR requirements and highly capable of operating major plant including Backhoe, Excavator and Skid Steer, and have proven experience rectifying simple hazards without direction and reporting them accordingly. Essential Licences and Tickets Current Construction Industry White Card Current Australian Heavy Combination (Class HC) Licence Traffic control certification is desirable but not an essential requirement for this position – Workers on Foot (preferable) Who We Are Transport for NSW provides a safe, integrated, and efficient transport system.
