Your next career opportunity As a Lecturer in Youth Mental Health at the University of Melbourne's Centre for Youth Mental Health and Orygen, the National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health, you'll play a crucial role in developing and delivering the innovative Master of Youth Mental Health programme. You'll work with world‑leading experts to create cutting‑edge online education that strengthens the capacity of the youth mental health workforce globally. This position offers you the chance to shape the future of youth mental health practice through education, while contributing to Orygen's mission of improving the lives of young people experiencing mental ill‑health. Your responsibilities will include: Develop Online Curriculum: Work with the Centre's Graduate Education team and Melbourne Online to develop and deliver the Master of Youth Mental Health. Coordinate Subjects: Independently prepare and manage multiple subjects within this programme. Enhance Learning Experience: Manage the online learning system and supervise Online Educators to ensure successful subject delivery. Drive Educational Innovation: Contribute to programme quality enhancement by reviewing and revising learning materials. Engage in Scholarship: Develop scholarly presentations and publications related to youth mental health education. You may be a great fit if: You are a passionate mental health professional with a strong background in clinical practice and education, demonstrating expertise in youth mental health and a commitment to innovative online learning. You may also: Hold a Master's degree or PhD in clinical psychology, occupational therapy, mental health nursing, social work, or a related field. Have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or equivalent. Demonstrated experience in independently preparing and coordinating university‑level mental health subjects. Possess familiarity with online learning platforms such as Canvas or Blackboard. Have experience in youth mental health clinical practice across various diagnostic categories. Show excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in standard application software. Exhibit a youth‑friendly, optimistic approach and commitment to positive change in youth mental health.
