With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:Due to the career progression of our current Drainage & Flooding Discipline Manager, combined with growth in our team and the demands of our strong and growing pipeline of work across various civil infrastructure projects we are searching for a Discipline Manager to lead our large drainage and flooding team to successfully deliver major Highways, Airports, Ports, Rail and Metro infrastructure projects.

Role accountabilities:Line management of our large, established and mature drainage and flooding team to provide optimal drainage design and flooding analysis for major infrastructure projectsProvide strategic leadership for the team including team developmentOversee improvement and development of capabilities in sustainability, digital delivery and automationBring a passion to leadership and development of a high performing team, with a focus on clients and deliveryProvide technical leadership in hydraulic and hydrology analysisProvide technical design expertise for drainage and water quality systems, including piped networks and major transverse drainage structuresCoordinate and verify designs with project teams working across multiple offices including our international design hubsWorking in collaboration with the design manager and other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall designDeliver sustainable design solutions and drive continuous improvement in the sustainability of our solutionsQualifications:First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life. You are a technically capable civil or environmental engineer with extensive experience in drainage design for civil infrastructure projects. You will come to us with:Proven leadership and management skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsExtensive experience in consulting engineering with established relationship networksExperience in several facets of the project lifecycle from concept design through to detailed design and constructionExperience leading the hydraulic and hydrology analysis on projects with Transport for NSW or similar interstate authorities like TMR and VicRoadsProven skills with relevant software such as TUflow, 12D and DRAINSThe desire to work collaboratively in a high performing team environmentRecognised relevant tertiary qualifications and relevant skills.Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines (TfNSW/Austroads standards).Why Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
