Good Shepherd Lutheran College – Noosaville QLD Award: Queensland Lutheran Schools - Single Enterprise Agreement 2024 Accountability: Head of Operations Date of Preparation: 22nd October, 2025 Hours of Duty: Approximate hours of duty are 6.30 am to 8.30 am and 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm for the Scheduled School Runs as needed. On occasions, other driving commitments will be required as the need arises. Key Position Objective: To provide a safe, secure and punctual transition between the student's home and the College, and to and from all other venues. Position Statement The position supports the transporting of students between school and bus stops near the students’ homes and the College’s educational service with transport to excursions and other activities. The College operates a permanent bus service on six separate routes within the Noosa and Sunshine Coast local government areas. Uniform The College will supply polo shirts and a jacket (winter only) that must be worn whenever driving buses. Drivers will need to wear neat casual attire, with either safety boots or enclosed non-slip shoes at all times whilst driving buses. Selection Criteria Driver’s Licence Class MR or higher Driver’s Authorisation Card that meets QLD Government requirements; Satisfy the requirements of the Queensland Commissioner for Children and Young People Act 1998, Employment Screening Provisions, including the successful retention of a suitability “Blue Card” Position Responsibilities To provide a punctual and safe passage for College students to and from the College, and to and from all other venues; To assist the Teachers and Students of the college during outings and at all times provide courteous, caring customer service; Internal cleaning of the bus after use; Participate in paid College training activities (All staff training days, first aid sessions, child safety training, scheduled transport meetings etc.).
