We specialise in heavy vehicle logistics and maintenance, and we are seeking an experienced and qualified Motor Mechanic to join our growing operations and assist with maintaining our fleet. Position Summary : We are looking for a skilled Motor Mechanic to undertake diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance of our vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification and hands‑on experience working with engines and mechanical systems, particularly in a commercial or fleet environment. Duties and Responsibilities Examine vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues affecting performance Strip down engine assemblies, steering systems, gearboxes, and other major parts for fault investigation and repairs Perform part replacements, system overhauls, and component reassembly using workshop manuals and diagnostic tools Carry out preventive maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and tuning Rebuild engines and components, and ensure systems are functioning efficiently post-repair Use digital diagnostic equipment and vehicle management systems to assist with fault detection Conduct testing and adjustments to ensure proper vehicle operation and regulatory compliance Provide vehicle condition reports and outline necessary work to achieve roadworthiness Respond to mechanical breakdowns and perform minor roadside repairs as required Required Skills and Qualifications AQF Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent At least 1 year of on-the-job training or relevant work experience Proficiency in using diagnostic and workshop equipment Ability to interpret technical manuals and service bulletins Current driver's licence preferred Registration or licensing (if required by the state / territory) Desirable Background in heavy vehicle servicing and fleet maintenance Familiarity with Australian standards for vehicle safety and emissions To Apply Interested applicants should submit a resume and a brief cover letter outlining their experience and suitability for the role to Work Authorisation : Australia (Preferred) Work Location : In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
