We have a rewarding permanent full-time position available for the Night Shift, Monday to Friday, from 9 PM to 5 AM at our Chelsea site. Our Chelsea Heights site is located in Melbourne’s south‑east, manufacturing a range of more than 44 milk, milk‑based beverages and cream products. The site currently produces around 100 million litres of product every year The Packaging Operator will be responsible for maintaining a clean and secure facility that meets all compliance requirements. This role involves cleaning, operating fillers, and completing paperwork, among other tasks. We are looking for an individual who enjoys working independently, upholds high cleaning standards, and wants to be part of a close‑knit team. The role involves active work in a dynamic environment, requiring team members to be on their feet and handle materials up to 25 kg. It includes physical activities such as climbing, bending, and reaching, especially when addressing operational issues. Work occurs in a temperature‑controlled cool room at about 18 °C, providing a comfortable atmosphere for those used to cooler conditions. Responsibilities Operate and maintain filling equipment – set up and run advanced filling machines to ensure smooth and efficient milk packaging operations. Quality assurance and product sampling – conduct regular inspections and swabs to guarantee that products meet strict safety and compliance standards. Troubleshooting and problem solving – quickly resolve equipment jams and technical issues to keep production lines running at peak performance. End‑of‑shift cleaning and documentation – perform thorough cleaning at the end of each shift and complete necessary paperwork to maintain hygiene and accurate production records.
