About the company / role Our client, a global environmental organization, is currently seeking a Control Systems Project Engineer to join their team in Brisbane. This is a long-term causal contract role with full time weekly hours. As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for the initiation and delivery of projects at multiple sites and manage change related to these projects. Duties Plan and execute the full project lifecycle. Assist with business development and tender submission including scoping, project planning, design, estimating and procurement. Deliver assigned projects within budget and to agreed schedule, including safe completion of all phases. Liaise with the personnel from operations and maintenance, procurement and asset management teams to ensure successful initiation and implementation of a project. Manage subcontractors and consultants for delivery of project outcomes (including site supervision of subcontractors and technical oversight of engineering consultants). Skills / experience A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline or substantial experience in systems integration. Extensive project delivery experience in the water, mining or manufacturing industry with preference given to proven experience in SCADA and PLC project execution. Working experience in control systems design, programming and commissioning. Driving licence. Ability to utilise relevant computer software application (e.g. G Suite, MS Office).
