Elysian Retreat, Long Island – Whitsundays QLD We are seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our team at the Elysian Retreat, Long Island in the Whitsundays, Queensland. As Duty Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient day-to-day operations of our stunning luxury resort. This is a full-time position based on‑site in the beautiful Whitsundays. What you’ll be doing Overseeing and coordinating all front‑of‑house operations, including reception and guest services Managing the daily schedules and performance of the front‑of‑house team Responding to guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures Assisting with the planning and execution of special events, tours and VIP experiences Contributing to the development and implementation of innovative guest service initiatives Providing leadership and mentoring to the front‑of‑house team What we’re looking for Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar Duty Manager or Front Office Manager role within the hospitality industry Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with guests, colleagues, and external stakeholders Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences Proficient in using hotel management systems and technology Commitment to continuous improvement and a passion for exceeding guest expectations Flexible and adaptable to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment What we offer At the Elysian Retreat, we are committed to creating a supportive and rewarding work environment for our team.
