Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Auslan Healthcare Interpreters to join the Transcultural and Language Service (TALS) team. Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north. Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg. About the Role An opportunity exists for enthusiastic Interpreters to join the newly created Casual Bank in the Transcultural and Language Services (TALS) team at Northern Health. We are seeking Auslan Interpreters: Interested applicants are encouraged to apply. The role is a casual bank position where you may be required to travel and work across the various Northern Health Campuses. Responsibilities Delivering on-site, telephone, and video interpreting services across Northern Health as required. Coordinating daily interpreting activities and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of pre-arranged and on-demand services. Supporting interpreter bookings and supervising students as needed. Assisting in delivering TALS education on working with interpreters.
