About the role We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cleaner (Environmental Services) to join our friendly team at Cooinda 2 - 3 days a week. In this vital role, you will help maintain a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across our aged care facility and community spaces. Working collaboratively with the Environmental Services team, you’ll ensure a safe, comfortable, and homely environment for residents, staff, and visitors — contributing directly to the wellbeing and quality of life of those who call Cooinda home. Key Responsibilities Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming environment in resident rooms, common areas, offices, and outdoor spaces. Follow infection control and OH&S procedures to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff. Adhere to cleaning schedules and duty lists, ensuring all areas meet accreditation and quality standards. Use cleaning chemicals safely and maintain cleaning equipment in good condition. Assist with urgent cleaning tasks as required and work cooperatively with colleagues to achieve shared goals. About You Experience in cleaning within healthcare or aged care environments (preferred). Understanding of cleaning chemicals and associated Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Knowledge of infection control practices and safe work procedures. Reliable, well‑organised, and able to manage time effectively. Friendly, respectful, and able to work safely around older people, including those living with dementia. Those eligible can increase their effective hourly rate by more than $2 per hour. Salary package up to $611.53 per fortnight for everyday expenses such as mortgage, rent, or school fees. Salary package up to $101.92 per fortnight for meals and entertainment (cafés, restaurants, etc.).
