Locomotive Driver

Aurizon is seeking applications from Qualified Locomotive Drivers to join out West Kalgoorlie Rail Operations on a full-time permanent arrangement. This opportunity is a residential role and open to local applicants that either reside in West Kalgoorlie or are willing to relocate on a permanent basis. To assist with relocation we are offering $20,000 upfront payment, 8 weeks accommodation and $7800 location allowance. This role will be suited to an individual who is able to display superior teamwork skills, flexibility, a high level of safety awareness and customer service. About the role Operation of locomotives including mainline, shunting and marshalling. Examine and certify trains as ready for departure. Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures. Maintain a high level of on-time running. Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives. Provide high quality customer service to enable Aurizon to meet its set business objectives. About you Strong commitment to safety and the Aurizon Safety Strategy "I Know Safe, I Choose Safe". Must be available to work 24/7 shift roster. Experience in WA Safeworking System is advantageous. Extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience.
