The Opportunity As the Environmental Advisor, you will play a key role in managing all environmental matters across the site, with a strong focus on waste‑water operations and compliance. Leading a small team you will: oversee the day‑to‑day performance of the Waste‑water Treatment Plant, ensuring it operates safely, effectively, and in line with licence conditions, company standards, and regulatory requirements. Monitor results, address issues, and drive continuous improvement across systems, procedures, and environmental management practices. Contribute to operating plans and budgets, supporting the site in meeting business objectives while upholding rigorous environmental standards. Maintain effective environmental management systems and reporting. Ensure waste streams meet company and regulatory expectations. About You You will be a recent Environmental Science/Engineering (or related discipline) graduate who has begun building your career, with 1‑2 years of experience in an environmental or operational support role. You may have gained this exposure through an entry‑level position, internship, or hands‑on industry placement, and you’re now ready to step into a role with greater ownership and responsibility. You’ll have a foundational understanding of waste‑water processes, environmental management and regulatory compliance, along with confidence in data analysis and reporting. Experience with environmental management systems and familiarity with tools such as SAP will be highly regarded, but not essential. With strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a keen willingness to learn, you enjoy working collaboratively and engaging with a range of stakeholders. You bring curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive mindset, along with the organisational skills needed to manage competing priorities.
