About the Team The Neurodevelopmental Disability Assessment Service (NDAS) provides developmental disability-oriented assessment services, consultancy, and sector stewardship to accurately identify individuals with disability and promote an understanding of the related support needs of individuals across the State of Western Australia. The Opportunity We are seeking qualified and experienced psychologists to join the NDAS Team to provide psychological assessments, reports and consultation for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and / or Intellectual Disability (ID). The role contributes professional skills and knowledge to enhance Team functioning and encourage positive outcomes for children and families such as : Participating in diagnostic assessments for ASD and ID. Liaising with families, individuals and other stakeholders including education, health, medical and other professionals to complete the diagnostic assessments. Providing information, training and consultative support to Departmental staff as required, in relation to the assessment of ASD and ID. Continuing to develop expertise in the assessment of ASD and ID. Continuing to develop service and practice initiatives and resources in accordance with the Directorate’s Operational Plan, evidence based practice and best practice guidelines. Flexibility to undertake inter-state travel and to stay overnight or for short periods in response to organisational needs is a requirement of the role. For Psychologist Roles : Psychologist Specified Calling Level 2 : Tertiary degree qualification in Psychology approved by the Psychology Board of Australia AND 'General Registration' as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Psychologist Specified Calling Level 3 : A 2-year post graduate masters degree in Psychology or equivalent qualification approved by the Psychology Board of Australia AND 'General Registration' on the register of Psychologists WITH endorsement in an approved area of practice (Clinical, Forensic, Educational and Developmental, Counselling, Clinical Neuropsychology) with AHPRA. This talent register will be used to fill a number of short-term vacancies (up to 12 months) across Disability Practice Support - Neurodevelopmental Disability Assessment Service.
