About the opportunity As a Growth Area Planner, you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding sustainable development and ensuring high-quality outcomes for residents and businesses. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the planning of one of Australia’s most dynamic growth corridors while working in a collaborative, high-performing team. You will make an impact by Assessing and processing planning permit applications for subdivision and development within Cardinia Shire’s Growth Area. Managing amendments, extensions, and approvals for planning permits and plans. Preparing and presenting submissions to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT). Providing advice and information to stakeholders via phone, email, and in-person enquiries. Supporting departmental improvements and contributing to innovative planning practices. What you will bring Tertiary qualifications in planning or a related field (or equivalent experience). Sound knowledge of statutory planning processes, legislation, and relevant regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within timeframes. A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement. A current Victorian Driver Licence.
