Your new Opportunity Opteon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of our security function. You will ensure the effective implementation of security controls and maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal security frameworks. This is a pivotal role in safeguarding our organisation, people, and clients. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain security policies and standards aligned to ISO27001 or other frameworks Implement tools and procedures to achieve security and compliance objectives Managing documentation, audits, corrective actions, and ISMS effectiveness Monitoring security events and alerts across systems and networks Leading incident response activities and ensuring response plans are tested and well performing Identifying, assessing, and prioritising security risks and treatment plans Ensure the security awareness training program is effective and consistently delivered Designing, configuring, and maintaining security tools (EDR, SIEM, content filtering, vulnerability scanners) About you The ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting level 1 security clearance Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in IT, cybersecurity, or related field (mandatory) Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM) (highly regarded) Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance (required) Deep knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies (EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management, incident response) Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (eg: ISO 27001, ISM, SOC 2) Strong understanding of network and cloud security (AWS, Azure), firewalls, IDS/IPS, and technical architecture Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and regions Commitment to ongoing professional development What we have on offer Referral Bonus: Refer people from your network and receive a bonus if they are successfully recruited Career Development: We invest in your growth with leadership pathways, specialist training, and free access to LinkedIn Learning, empowering you to build deep technical expertise or advance into leadership roles Paid Parental Leave: Receive paid leave to spend quality time at home with your child Novated Leasing Options: Lease a car with our flexible novated leasing program.
