Job Description Nestled in the tranquil bushland of the ANSTO Lucas Heights Campus (just south of Sydney near Menai), KU ANSTO Children's Centre offers a truly special opportunity for passionate early childhood educators. With on-site parking available, this centre is perfect for those with their own transport looking to work in a peaceful, nature-rich setting. Our purpose‑built long day‑care service caters to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, designed specifically to support the families of Australia's Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO). The environment, both indoors and outdoors, has been thoughtfully crafted to inspire curiosity, exploration, and a lifelong love of learning. At KU ANSTO, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Guided by the Circle of Security and Educaring Approach, our team is committed to nurturing children's emotional wellbeing, ensuring they feel safe, secure, and deeply valued every day. We're especially proud of our dynamic outdoor play spaces, where we embrace a loose parts approach. Children are encouraged to imagine, construct, deconstruct, and explore using a wide variety of natural, repurposed, and open‑ended materials. It's a powerful way to foster creativity, resilience, and problem‑solving skills. Role We are looking for a Certificate III qualified educator to join the service for a permanent full‑time role and a part‑time role. Qualifications Knowledge and experience in the implementation of RIE Philosophy and the 'Educaring' approach to working with infants and toddlers. Knowledge and experience in the implementation of 'Circle of Security', 'Attachment Theory' and 'play spaces' practice. Knowledge of sustainable practices and environmental awareness issues in Early Childhood education. Commitment to supporting the Aboriginal community partnership with the Gujaga Foundation for the implementation of the Dharawal Language Program as an ongoing part of the curriculum of the service. Experience working with a Work‑Based Client service. Australian working rights. A current NSW Working with Children Check. An ACECQA recognised Certificate III qualification. Completed Child Protection Training as well as demonstrated understanding of current child safe practices. Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law and the Education and Care Services National Regulations. Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
