Lecturer – Mechanical Engineering About the Position As the Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering , you will play a key role in enhancing the teaching and research profile of the Faculty of Science and Technology, with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. You will deliver high-quality education across undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate levels, utilising contemporary and innovative teaching methods, including on-campus, online, and blended learning approaches. You will contribute to curriculum design and course development to ensure programs remain current and competitive, with a particular emphasis on integrating emerging fields in Mechanical engineering, contemporary, and sustainable technologies to align with industry needs. About You Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, teaching, and assessment in Mechanical Engineering and related areas, with the ability to deliver high-quality learning experiences across on‑campus, online, and blended formats. Demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations, with emphasis on compliance and risk management in laboratory environments. Strong record of research activity, including the ability to produce high-quality research outputs and secure external research funding. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively within academic teams and engage with students from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge and understanding of sustainable practices in teaching, research, and administration to align with university policies and initiatives. Experience in fostering industry relationships and collaborations to support research, curriculum relevance, and student employability. Industrial experience or demonstrated engagement with industry in the context of mechanical Engineering or related fields. Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems and experience in developing and integrating innovative teaching and learning content. Experience in supervising research students, providing guidance in research design, execution, and dissemination of findings. The Graduate Certificate in University Teaching & Learning or HEA Fellowship. Remuneration Appointment to this role will be at Research Active Academic Level B. The base salary will be in the range of \$116,429 – \$137,659 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of \$136,221 – \$161,061 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
